Service Description
The treatment may include physiotherapy modalities like ultrasound, IFT, TENS, Intermittent Traction, CPM, Dry needling, Taping or therapeutic exercise. ULTRASOUND Ultrasound therapy is a method of stimulating the tissues with high frequency sound waves. Application of ultrasound to injured tissues will speed up the rate of healing & enhance the quality of the repair, decrease the pain by reducing the swelling & edema and it also helps in softening of the scar tissues. These physiological low frequency stimulation. This is very effective in managing pain in conditions like low bacproperties of ultrasound are used in treating conditions like tendinitis, sprains (ligament injuries), strains (muscle injuries), stiff joints (frozen shoulder), arthritis etc. IFT Interferential therapy utilizes the significant physiological effects of low frequency electrical stimulation of nerves by application of medium frequency current through electrodes without the associated unpleasant side effects sometimes associated with direct low frequency stimulation. This is very effective in managing pain in conditions like low back pain, sciatica, sports related muscle injuries, ligament injuries etc. TENS Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation is a method of electrical stimulation which primarily aims to provide pain relief by stimulating sensory nerves. This treatment is very effective in treating radiating pain conditions. This is also widely used in managing chronic pain, arthritis conditions, sports injuries etc. INTERMITTENT TRACTION Traction therapy aims to remove pain and to reduce pressure in nerve roots in the spinal column using mechanical force. Gentle alternation of stretching and relaxation of the spinal column's soft tissue structures helps to reduce muscle spasm related to pain. Traction is mainly applied for the lumbar (low back) and cervical (neck) region. Mechanical Intermittent Traction helps relieve pain through decompression of lumbar or cervical discs and joints. This is effective in treating conditions like disc prolapse, radiating pain due to nerve root compression, muscle spasm etc. CONTINUOUS PAAIVE MOTION (KNEE) A continuous passive motion (CPM) machine is a motorized device that passively moves a joint through a pre-set range of motion. These devices may be used after surgery to reduce joint stiffness and improve range of motion. This is used in conditions like post ligament reconstruction, knee replacement, meniscus repair etc.
