AYURVEDA -  SCIENCE OF LONGEVITY

 

Ayur means life and Veda means science or knowledge, this indigenous system of natural healing has its origins in the Vedic period of India dating 5000 years back. Archeology reveals that Ayurveda was well-organised system of medicine in use in the ancient civilizations of Harappa and Mohenjodaro and Osadhisukta of the Rigveda contents its oldest documented knowledge of plants and herbs.

Ayurveda - most holistic medical system survived from prehistoric times on the planet today is a herbal system of medicine dealing with body, mind and soul. Ayurveda and Yoga contain verses stating the health, disease and principles of treatment. The Vedas contain description regarding the three fundamental factors called the Dosas - Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
